    AGENDA

A non-comprehensive overview of major solo exhibitions and events in 2012

    Agenda, Art Rotterdam

Art Rotterdam 2012 will be held from February 8 through February 12. It is an international art fair with excellent galleries displaying their art in the comfortable atmosphere of the Cruise Terminal, located next to the Erasmus bridge. Affiliated with the art fair is Object Rotterdam, a fair for autonomous design. Art Rotterdam is accompanied by a considerable number of exhibitions, satellite fairs and other events. To name a few:

    - MK Award, a new prize for visual art paying homage to the creative legacy of Emmo Grofsmid (1951-2011) and Karmin Kartowikromo (1948-2011). A fundraiser show has been curated by Tanya Rumpff and will be on view at Boompjes 60-68 during the fair.

    - The Dutch Photomuseum, housed in Las Palmas, opposite the Cruise Terminal, shows “Çhance” by Christian Boltanski. The installation was designed for the French pavilion at the Venice Biennale.

    - Ongekend Young Masters, an exhibition of young talented artists, recently graduated from art academies, followed by an auction of the artworks on February 12. The exhibition and auction are held at CBK, Nieuwe Binnenweg 75.
